How does the Bumpers App work?

Bumpers is a simplified Parental Control system that is actually two separate apps.

The Bumpers Browser app is an interactive web and YouTube browser that allows your kids to view and enjoy content approved by you, the parent.

The Bumpers Parental Controls app is a dashboard of all of the premium tools to easily manage your kids’ internet experience including all of their activity history.

How does Bumpers control access?

Kids will use Bumpers Browser app to access all content on the internet. The Bumpers Parental Controls app gives parents fine-tune control over specific content on platforms like YouTube.

How is Bumpers different from other parental control apps?

Other parental control apps take an all-or-nothing approach to content. They focus mostly on blocking access to anything that might be inappropriate. Bumpers takes a fresh new approach by allowing your kids to explore platforms like YouTube, while being protected from inappropriate content. We do this by giving parents fine-tune control over all content before your kid sees it.

What devices does Bumpers work with?

The Bumpers Parental Control app is compatible with iPhones and iPads running iOS 16.4 and up.

The Bumpers Browser app is compatible with iPhones and iPads with a minimum of iOS 15 and up.

Is Bumpers available on Android?

The Bumpers app is only available in the App Store for iOS at the moment.

We are currently working on releasing a version for Android devices (including Amazon tablets). This will be available soon!

Can I allow other adults (grandparents, baby sitters, nannies, etc.) to access the parental controls?

Yes! Bumpers lets you grant access to your Parental Controls account, allowing anyone you choose to login to your account to manage content on your family’s devices.

How much does Bumpers cost?

We have two plans: Bumpers Family and Bumpers Family Plus. One subscription covers every child and device in your family, and the plans are based on the size of your family.

Bumpers Family covers up to 5 profiles and devices and is only $9.99/month

Bumpers Family Plus covers up to 10 profiles and devices and is only $14.99/month

Both plans include all of the Parental Control features of the Bumpers app.

What can I do with Bumpers Parental Controls?

The Bumpers Parental Controls app gives you the tools to approve or deny individual videos OR full channels from YouTube on your child’s device. This also works for individual webpages and full websites, as well as search results! We call it Fine-Tune content filtering.

The Bumpers Parental Controls app also gives you the tools to make informed decisions on which content your child can view based what other parents have approved.

Where can I download the Bumpers Browser app?

The Bumpers Browser app is available to download for free on your kids’ devices. However, you will need an active subscription to the Bumpers Parental Control app in order to use the Bumpers Browser app.
